Everyone who has cats or dogs thinks theirs is special. Zoe is. You see, the day after she came home with us she became deathly ill with Feline Infectious Enteritis. I chose Zoe because Pi was killed in the street two weeks earlier. That this sweet little creature would die was too cruel and unfair. The Vet sent me home with meds and instructions, I pushed fluids every hour for three days and she recovered. When she went back to the vet for her checkup he told me he thought she had no chance and that he didn't recommend IC because so few survive at that age. He smiled broadly and quipped she "wasn't bad for a dead cat". Nope, not bad at all.
